Blues and Gospel have two things in common; Passion and Truth. For a Blues band it would be really easy to sing the usual songs about being a backdoor or Hoochie Coochie man, getting drunk and shooting your cheating woman. But as a band consisting of Christians, how can you sing passionately about something that isn’t true for you? Hence the title; No drinkin’-No cheatin’-No shootin’. Not that we don’t mind the odd pint but ‘No drinkin’ too much’ didn’t really work. The songs on this CD have been written from experience and, like the Psalms, document the ups and downs of a life with God. We hope you enjoy our selection of Gospel Blues; both ancient and modern.
