I’ve never really recorded a straightforward drone piece before, even this time I couldn’t resist throwing in some weird rhythm patch here and there. Each note is played with the e-bow on a separate track with different patches, then I just played about with the mix until this came out.

One of my favourite albums of the past couple of years. A truly original sound I can't really pigeonhole with other bands. Brilliant musicianship from all, soaring vocals - I think I once heard it described as 'an intoxicating mix'. Short tracks but they pack so much variation into a couple of minutes - lyrical to grunge choppy chords in a few seconds. Brilliant. Chris Shaw
